SyFy Cancelled Being Human… WTF!

The SyFy Channel, has over the years put out some amazing content, from Farscape to Battlestar Galactica to even the off beat shows like The Invisible Man, G vs. E, and Lexx. But it seems lately they are content for forget their target market, and have cancelled some highly creative shows. Shows like Eureka, Warehouse 13, and now Being Human. And I’m left with a giant sense of… WTF SyFy.

It is bad enough they take up valuable hours of scheduled time with Smackdown, and I’m a pretty big wrestling fan, but if they want to move away from the scripted shows that have been their bread and butter for a long ass time, they need to give us more shows like Face Off or Hot Set, and less Smackdown and Heroes of Cosplay.

But I digress. The Frakin’ SyFy channel cancelled Being Human… WFT! Of all the great shows, very few have the amazing mix of chemistry, heart and soul boasted by Being Human. The Sams (Witwer & Huntington), Megan Rath and Kristen Hager are an amazing on screen family, who have been part of creating rich three dimensional characters. Aside from a cast of talented young actors and actresses, the writing on this show is phenomenal. One of my friends puts it like this…

If Being Human were on any other channel it would get the buzz and viewership of The Walking Dead.”

Now it is all fine and good to think, but this is a call to arms for AMC, A&E, Netflix, hell the History Channel. Don’t let this great show die!

Being Human Show runner Anna Fricke had this to say:

“The cast and crew have saved the best for last with the final six episodes that revisit the story’s beginning, leading to a not-to-be-missed send-off for Aidan, Sally, Josh and Nora.”

Well, if this is the end for Being Human, I have to say, Thanks for 4 solid seasons from the cast and crews, and to SyFy… go jump in a volcano. I’m so tired of your canceling the types of shows for which your channel is named. To sum it up I can’t believe SyFy cancelled Being Human… WTF!

Incase you are interested the cast of Being Human put together this special goodbye for their fans.
