Spartacus: Blood and Sand Will Continue
Earlier this week it was annouced that Liam McIntyre will be continuing the role of Spartacus on the Starz original “Spartacus: Blood and Sand”. Although it is sad that Andy Whitfield will not be returning due to the return of his cancer it is good news to hear that the story will continue. I personally enjoyed the first season and Whitfield’s performance of Spartacus, but I believe that the story can continue with McIntyre in the role due to the awesome job that the writing and production teams have done. I am glad that Starz and Steven S. DeKnight decided to carry on and that Whitfield gave his blessing as well. I look forward to seeing what McIntyre will do with the character and how the story will go from the ending in Season One. Although this story is based on historical events I am sure that DeKnight and his team have one hell of a season planned.
Also make sure to check out “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena” premiering January 21 on Starz. I look forward to this to see John Hannah once again eating the scenery as Batiatus and the slow burn of Lucy Lawless as Lucretia.
